End of Year Reflection - What did we learn in 2022?

The end of the year is a time of reflection. We are reflecting on the highs for our team and what went well. We're contemplating what we can do better and how we can improve next year. It’s exciting to start a new chapter in 2023. We learned so much and can't wait to share this next chapter with you.

 2022 - It was an opportunity to learn how a sustainable brand can truly impact the world.

2022 - Allowed us to look far and wide for materials that are truly better for the environment without succumbing to time pressures to test them out. There were many that were great but didn't end up being durable, passing the test.

 

2022 - Allowed us to look inwards and truly celebrate everything that we do right when it comes to designing and producing in the most sustainable way possible.

2022 - Gave us the opportunity of finding like-minded partners & a community who share our vision and care for the environment. So important to find your tribe, it allows you to grow and learn.

 2022 - Allowed us to really see how we can help on the ground in India and learn more from our partners about what are the realities on the ground and where we can have the maximum impact. This year we were able to support close to 50 children in the poorest districts of Mumbai with their school fees so that they could continue their studies.

2022 - Let us focus on the details, test our products and see for ourselves what makes the perfect tote, crossbody, packing cube, wallet etc. Great things happen when you take your time. We made 35 samples before we finally got it right!!!

2022 - Made us realize how unique we truly are where everything is sourced and made in India and shipped directly to the customer. There is so much that is unique about the craft, skill, work ethic & care for the environment in India that we look forward to sharing with you in 2023.

 

2022- Gave us a chance to focus on accreditations and initiatives like Butterfly Mark from Positive Luxury, B Corp and 1%for the Planet. Learn about the importance of legislation in the sustainability debate and add to our growing reading list.
